  • 8 ounces (about 2 cups) penne or your favorite pasta
  • 8 slices bacon, chopped
  • 1 pound fresh asparagus, tough ends trimmed and cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup chicken or vegetable broth
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish (optional)


1. Cook the Pasta:
