Rich Oreo glazed chocolate cake

For the Chocolate Cake:

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.

In a large mixing bowl, sift together the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.

Add the eggs, buttermilk, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients. Mix on medium speed until well combined, about 2 minutes.

Reduce the mixer speed to low and carefully add the boiling water to the batter. Mix until smooth; the batter will be thin.

Pour the batter evenly into the prepared cake pans.

Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cakes comes out clean.

Remove the cakes from the oven and let them cool in the pans for about 10 minutes. Then, transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely.

For the Oreo Glaze:

In a bowl, crush the Oreo cookies into fine crumbs.

In a separate bowl, combine the powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract, and whisk until the glaze reaches your desired consistency. Adjust the amount of milk as needed.

Add the crushed Oreo crumbs to the glaze and mix well.
