How to defrost meat quickly?

Do you know the inverted double pan method? This is a clever way to defrost  meat  in five minutes. Yes, yes you heard correctly, in just five minutes! You will just need an airtight bag and two saucepans.

How to do ?

  1. Once you take the meat out of the freezer, put it in this resealable plastic freezer bag (don’t consider foil, it doesn’t work for this tip!).
  2. Next, place an empty saucepan, face down, on the kitchen sink.
  3. Then place the bag of meat on the base and, on top, place a second saucepan filled with hot water.
  4. The pressure and heat of this second pan will defrost your meat in five minutes.

And voila !

How to defrost meat in 10 minutes?

We certainly don’t teach you anything, it’s the most common method. You can, of course, defrost meat in the  microwave  in less than 10 minutes.

  1. To do this, place the meat on a plate
  2. Activate the “defrost” mode of your microwave for 10 minutes.
  3. Check regularly if the meat is defrosted. Defrosting speed depends on the size of the meat

This method  is effective, especially for small cuts of meat, but it is not always recommended, as the loss of juices can affect the quality.

How to defrost meat in 15 minutes?

Did you know that  marinating meat for 15 minutes in vinegar  can speed up the defrosting process?

Yes, it’s amazing, but it’s mainly thanks to the acidity which increases the temperature of the meat.
