- One 15.25-ounce box white cake mix
- 1 1/4 cups water
- 1/3 cup canola or vegetable oil
- 3 large egg whites
- 1 cup miniature chocolate chips
CREAM CHEESE FROSTING:
- 2 1/2 cups powdered sugar, sifted to remove lumps
